Satellite View of Nelsonia and Modest Town. Large, white, rectangular box of land represents the site of the Hopeland Landing and Hopeland Retreat proposed subdivisions, subsequently revoked. Nearly 300 single family homes on 30,000 square foot lots were to be placed here. Note especially the brown streak running east-west on the property. This represents the prevailing drainage pattern, directly into Kegotank Bay.
